A long‑standing, industry‑secure engineering business is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Production Engineer to join their team in Ruislip. About the Role
As a Production Engineer, you'll be responsible for programming, setting, and operating advanced 3-5 axis CNC machining centres. You'll create machining strategies from both CAD models and from scratch when required, while producing high‑precision components to tight tolerances. This is a hands‑on role within a skilled and collaborative team where your experience and ideas will be highly valued.
Candidate Requirements
Apprentice trained or relevant engineering qualification Minimum 5 years' experience as a 5 Axis CNC Miller/Programmer Knowledge of Heidenhain and Fanuc controls Proficient with SolidWorks and Fusion 360 Ability to create programs from scratch, including when no CAD model is provided Experience with fixture and jig design/manufacture
Key Responsibilities
Programming, setting, and operating 3-5 axis CNC machining centres Creating machining strategies with or without CAD models Developing full toolpaths using SolidWorks and Fusion 360 Working confidently with Heidenhain and Fanuc controls Designing and manufacturing fixtures, jigs, and work holding solutions Producing high‑precision components to tight tolerances Reading engineering drawings/3D models and converting them into efficient machining processes Continuously improving machining methods to maximise productivity and quality

Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00
