The successful Manufacturing Engineer will be easily able to commute to HUDDERSFIELD from surrounding towns & cities, including Leeds, Dewsbury, Halifax, Wakefield and Brighouse.
Key Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer will include: * Provide manufacturing engineering support to production and assembly teams, ensuring quality, safety, and delivery targets are met. * Act as the key link between Engineering and Manufacturing, providing clear technical guidance to production teams. * Support design reviews and manufacturability assessments to achieve efficient, right-first-time production. * Lead PFMEA activities, process mapping, and risk reduction initiatives to improve manufacturing performance. * Maintain manufacturing documentation, including drawings, work orders, routings, and technical packs. * Design tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing methods while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. * Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to drive continuous improvement, quality, and process efficiency.
For the Manufacturing Engineer role, we are keen to receive CV's from candidates who possess: * Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, with a strong understanding of machining and assembly processes. * Ability to interpret technical drawings, create manufacturing documentation, and apply GD&T principles. * Experience of CNC programming, process development, and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment. * Proficiency in engineering systems and software, including SAP and 2D/3D CAD packages. * Strong metrology and inspection skills, with experience using precision measurement equipment to verify component and assembly accuracy.
