Manufacturing Engineer

Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer looking to make a real impact in a precision aerospace manufacturing environment?

Auxitrol Weston designs and manufactures high-reliability temperature, speed and pressure sensors for gas turbine and airframe applications. We’re looking for a capable Manufacturing Engineer to join our Farnborough team and drive significant process improvements, productivity gains and cost savings across the machine shop.

The Role

You’ll provide technical support to production while developing and implementing robust, efficient manufacturing processes. You’ll have the opportunity to challenge existing methods, introduce new technologies and deliver measurable improvements in quality, efficiency and cost.

Key responsibilities include:

* Maintaining CNC programmes, tooling registers and machine setting sheets for Mazak and DMG Mori equipment.

* Optimising machining processes, tooling, fixtures and programmes.

* Supporting production teams with technical problem-solving and process improvements.

* Leading root cause analysis, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

* Developing tooling, fixtures and manufacturing equipment.

* Maintaining BOMs, routings, PFMEAs and manufacturing documentation within ERP systems.

* Supporting NPI, engineering changes and capital investment projects.

* Driving Lean activities including 5S, Kaizen, waste reduction and process optimisation.

* Supporting audits, MRB investigations and quality improvement activities.

* Identifying opportunities to reduce scrap, rework and manufacturing costs.

About You

You’ll have:

* Manufacturing Engineering experience within a regulated manufacturing environment.

* Proven experience in process improvement and manufacturing optimisation.

* Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.

* Experience supporting production and resolving technical manufacturing issues.

* HNC/HND or equivalent engineering qualification.

* Knowledge of PFMEA, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.

* Experience with CAD and ERP systems; BAAN/LN experience is desirable.

A background in aerospace, defence or another highly regulated industry would be advantageous.
