Overview

EMBS Engineering Ltd is working in partnership with a precision manufacturing business in Warwickshire that is currently in the market for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a strong press background.

This role covers press tool design and operation for fabricated metal components, and would suit an engineer with genuine depth of process knowledge rather than a junior candidate requiring close support.

Your responsibilities will include:

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will provide process-driven engineering support across press operations and tooling.

  Design and specify press tools, selecting appropriate tool materials and tool types

  
  


• 
  

  Build poke-yoke features into tool design to prevent misloads and process errors

  
  


• 
  

  Work to defined profile and form tolerances across a range of materials and thicknesses

  
  


• 
  

  Use simulation software to validate tool designs ahead of production, reviewing results against real-world outcomes

  
  

Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:

  Proven press operator/setter experience within a manufacturing environment

  
  


• 
  

  Demonstrated press tool design capability, including relevant design software

  
  


• 
  

  Practical knowledge of die types, tool materials and poke-yoke principles

  
  


• 
  

  Experience working to tight profile and form tolerances across varying material types and thicknesses

  
  


• 
  

  Familiarity with hydraulic, brake and/or servo press equipment and the tonnages involved

  
  


• 
  

  Exposure to tooling simulation software, with the ability to compare predicted and actual results
