Manufacturing IT Engineer

Bluegate are proud to partner with a global giant in the field of electronics manufacturing to recruit for experienced Manufacturing IT Engineers.

Based in Greenock, Scotland, the Manufacturing IT Engineers will be part of a new development centre team that will write road maps for global automation improvement for all global fabrication sites.

You’ll develop and improve software that automates manufacturing equipment, connects factory systems and helps protect product quality across 24/7 operations. From equipment control and real-time data to dispatch, recipes and maintenance, your work will make a direct impact on how efficiently our sites run.

You’ll bring:

* A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Control Systems or equivalent experience

* At least 2 years’ relevant experience

* Practical development skills in C#, Python or Tcl/Tk

* A problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently and with a team

Experience with SECS/GEM, PostgreSQL, Linux or OpenVMS is a plus.
