The Company specialises in designing and manufacturing detector products across a diverse range of applications for UK and export markets. Our success is delivered by a team of ninety people deploying specialist skills in diverse, challenging markets that underpin key national and international energy, medical and security activities.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced and driven Manufacturing Manager to lead our manufacturing operations, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality production while delivering against customer and business targets.
You will lead production teams and work closely with Engineering, Planning, Supply Chain and Commercial functions to deliver the orderbook, improve operational efficiency and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading, coaching and developing production teams and Team Leaders.
* Ensuring high standards of Health & Safety, quality, housekeeping and plant ownership.
* Delivering production, financial and on-time delivery targets.
* Driving continuous improvement, waste reduction and process efficiencies.
* Working with Engineering on product development and technical problem solving.
* Managing inventory and supporting supplier and contractor relationships.
* Ensuring equipment maintenance and calibration requirements are met.
* Monitoring manufacturing KPIs and supporting delivery of annual business objectives.
About You
You will have well-grounded experience in a technical manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of delivering production and quality targets. A degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business or a related discipline is desirable.
You will be a confident people leader with strong organisational, problem-solving and communication skills, alongside the commercial awareness and strategic thinking required to operate effectively at management level.
