Manufacturing Manager - Zr (Chemicals) - Luxfer MEL Technologies

• Lead the Zr manufacturing team to meet customer demand while driving LEAN process improvements, cost reductions, and waste minimisation.
• Report on all KPIs, including financial, operational, HSE, quality, and HR metrics.
• Collaborate with engineering and planning teams to deliver sustainable operational and preventative maintenance strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement and implement a data-driven, LEAN culture across the plant.
• Ensure prompt resolution of audit findings, quality issues, and customer feedback.

• Proven track record of leading process improvements that deliver measurable results.
• Experienced in driving lasting cultural and operational change across a business.

• Degree in engineering, chemistry or closely related subject
• GCSEs (or equivalent) including English, Maths and Science (Grade C/4).
• IT literate with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• At least 5 years leadership experience within chemical manufacturing.

• A supervisory qualification such as ILM Level 5, or equivalent leadership qualification,
• Lean Six Sigma Black belt
• Environmental management, awareness and understanding (ISO 14001)
• Direct experience of driving through sustainable quality improvements.
• SAP experience

• Knowledge of building systems, safety standards and regulations.
• Experience in workplace design, ergonomics or employee experience initiatives.
