Job Description - Manufacturing Operative

Do you thrive in a hands-on environment and have a background in mechanical assembly or machining?

If so, our client is looking for a Mechanical Assembler to join their well-established and growing Manufacturing business. Working as part of a small, close-knit team you will be assembling heavy-duty conveyor chains used across industries like food processing, textiles, and chemicals.

Manufacturing Operative
Job Description

Fabrication and assembly of large industrial chains and components
Operating brake presses, hydraulic presses, mills, and other manual machinery
Basic welding (MIG/TIG/MMA) – training provided if needed
Visual inspection and quality checks on all parts
Use of hand tools and fixtures
Completing documentation and working to production deadlines

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

Assembly experience
Experience with one or more of the following: brake press, hydraulic press, saws, lathes, milling, drilling, grinding
Comfortable with physical work
