Job Title: Maintenance Engineer – Day Shift
Hours: 5:45 AM – 3:30 PM (Flexibility for Planned Maintenance)
Location: Overton

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their manufacturing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a well-established, fast-paced production environment with a company that values technical skill, teamwork, and ongoing development.

Key Responsibilities

Fault finding and repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Planned and reactive maintenance across factory equipment
Working with control panels, automation systems, and both high/low voltage electrical setups
Maintenance of site utilities including boilers and lighting
Keeping maintenance records and managing spare parts inventory
Supporting production teams to minimise downtime and improve overall efficiency

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing or food production setting
Practical experience with equipment such as grinders, VeMag, and check weighers
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work well under pressure
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Desirable Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
17th or 18th Edition Electrical qualification (desirable)
Experience with PLCs and automation systems (preferred)
