Salary: Up to £35,500 per annum (DOE)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Manufacturing Team Leader to support the delivery of production schedules, drive quality standards, and lead a high-performing manufacturing team.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll coordinate daily manufacturing activities, support continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure products are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will play a key role in achieving our manufacturing strategy of On Time In Full (OTIF), Best Quality, Lowest Total Cost, Shortest Lead Time, and High Morale.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, motivate and support production teams to achieve daily production targets.
Coordinate labour, resources and production schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
Promote a strong culture of health, safety and quality across the manufacturing function.
Conduct work centre safety checks and support risk assessments and toolbox talks.
Monitor production progress and maintain accurate work centre reporting and order status updates.
Provide technical support and problem-solving assistance to production teams.
Review production drawings and build plans to ensure materials and resources are available.
Support onboarding, training and ongoing development of manufacturing staff.
Drive continuous improvement activities to improve efficiency, quality and workflow.
Ensure products meet customer specifications and internal quality standards.
Effectively communicate production priorities, risks and performance across departments.
Maintain high housekeeping standards and a safe working environment.

About You

Previous experience in a manufacturing or production leadership role.
Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
Understanding of health & safety and quality requirements within manufacturing.
Experience working to production targets and delivery schedules.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is desirable.

Production order completion above 90%.
Reduction in defects, damages and customer complaints.
Compliance with safety and quality standards.
Effective work centre management and workflow control.
