An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Technician to join a well-established plastics manufacturing business in Wolverhampton. This role is part of a skilled production and engineering team responsible for ensuring manufacturing processes run efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
You will be responsible for setting up and optimising production equipment, carrying out routine machine adjustments, supporting tooling changes, assisting with process improvements, and ensuring machinery operates to maximum efficiency. Working closely with production and maintenance teams, you will play a key role in minimising downtime and maintaining product quality.
This is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on Manufacturing Technician who enjoys working within a fast-paced plastics manufacturing environment and is looking to develop their technical skills within a growing business.

Previous experience working within a plastics manufacturing environment Hands-on experience setting and operating manufacturing machinery in a production environment Essential Requirements for the Manufacturing Technician
Experience carrying out machine set-ups, changeovers, and process adjustments Knowledge of plastic injection moulding, extrusion, or similar manufacturing processes Ability to identify production issues and implement effective solutions Strong understanding of quality standards and manufacturing procedures Mechanical aptitude with excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills Good understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment Desirable Requirements for the Manufacturing Technician
Engineering qualification (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or similar) Experience with continuous improvement methodologies Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles Experience training or supporting production operators The Manufacturing Technician will benefit from:
