We are looking for a Marine Mechanical Technician to support our client's growing fleet of autonomous and crewed vessels. This is a hands-on, technically demanding position that requires a strong understanding of marine systems, a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to safety, quality and innovation.

Key responsibilities
Ensure timely completion of work orders, maintenance activities and project tasks. Perform hands-on mechanical work, including troubleshooting, repairs and installations. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment. Ensure compliance with all relevant mechanical codes, safety regulations and company policies. Accurately record work performed, parts used, and time spent in maintenance systems. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance vessel reliability and performance. Collaborate with electrical, operations, safety, and quality departments to deliver integrated solutions. Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently to minimise downtime.Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
Significant, recent relevant experience in the marine industry (ship repair, vessel operations or related field). Strong technical background in mechanical systems, including propulsion, hydraulics and auxiliary systems. Demonstrated ability to work safely and efficiently, both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Excellent fault-finding, diagnostic and repair skills. Strong communication and organisational skills.Desirable (but not essential):
HNC / HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Experience with autonomous or remotely operated vessels. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
