Job Description - Marine Works Manager

Do you have experience supervising a team? Have you previously worked in marine and have good knowledge of the industry? If so, our client, a marine engineering services provider, is recruiting for a Marine Works Manager for their site in Poole. Reporting to the General Manager, this role would be responsible for supervising a 10-person team and ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget.

Job Description

Supporting the General Manager in running a profitable business unit, ensuring high standards and alignment with the company’s core values.
Supervising production staff to maintain quality, safety, and timely project delivery in line with job specifications.
Monitoring job budgets by tracking hours, materials, and equipment to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Managing subcontractors daily and attending client meetings, resolving any technical or operational queries efficiently.
Planning labour and materials effectively while ensuring all work complies with company Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) procedures.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

Marine experience with a strong knowledge and understanding of the industry
Good understanding of IT packages including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematic parts manuals and diagrams and associated technical data & specifications
Previous experience in a supervisory role
