Marketing & Events Manager / Executive

Overview

Birch Faraday Capital is an entrepreneurial private investment firm focused on acquiring and growing profitable small and medium-sized businesses in the UK. As part of our growth strategy, we are hiring a Marketing & Events professional to help shape and drive our brand presence, build relationships across our network, and support the marketing efforts of both Birch Faraday and its portfolio companies. This is a newly created role with flexibility to be appointed either at a Manager level or as a more junior Executive hire, supported by the Managing Director and a fractional senior marketing advisor if required.

Role Responsibilities

- Develop and implement marketing strategies that enhance Birch Faraday’s brand among entrepreneurs, investors, acquirers, operators, and service providers.
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver corporate events (dinners, breakfasts, networking sessions, etc.) to strengthen relationships and generate deal flow.
- Lead content creation and management across online channels including website, LinkedIn, and other relevant social media platforms.
- Oversee SEO, website performance, and digital optimisation to enhance online visibility and reach.
- Manage PR efforts including press releases and media engagement.
- Support portfolio companies with their individual marketing and media strategies as needed.
- Develop and manage a marketing calendar, budget, and performance metrics.
- Provide regular reporting on campaign effectiveness and event outcomes.
- Coordinate external agencies or suppliers when necessary (e.g. PR firms, designers, web developers).

Flexibility Based on Experience

We are open to considering candidates at either Executive or Manager level:
- A candidate with 3-5 years’ experience may join as a Marketing & Events Executive and will receive close support from the Managing Director and a fractional senior marketing advisor.
- A more experienced candidate (5+ years) may be hired as a Marketing & Events Manager, expected to operate with greater autonomy across all aspects of the role.

Candidate Profile

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in event planning and management.
- Solid understanding of digital marketing, SEO, content creation, and social media management.
- Ideally, prior experience working with professional services, private equity, venture capital, or B2B sectors.
- Comfortable working independently in a small, entrepreneurial environment.
- Organised, proactive, and commercially aware.

Compensation

Salary will depend on the level of experience and capability of the successful candidate:

- Marketing & Events Executive (c. 3-5 years’ experience): £50,000 - £60,000 base salary
- Marketing & Events Manager (5+ years’ experience): £65,000 - £75,000 base salary

Performance-related bonus potential of up to 20% based on key outcomes such as deal flow generation and new business generation, event success, and brand impact.

Professional development support (including fractional CFO mentorship where appropriate) is also available.

Location

London-based role with flexibility for occasional remote working. Some travel may be required for events or portfolio company support.
