Given the size of the business, this is positioned as a developmental role, with the opportunity to progress into a Marketing Executive/Coordinator position as both the individual and the marketing function grow.

JOB PURPOSE

The Marketing Assistant will support the evolution of the fast expanding companies marketing function from a primarily communications-focused team into a business growth function, taking ownership of a wide range of operational and execution activities. This role will create capacity for the Marketing Lead to focus on strategic initiatives including customer segmentation, database profiling, growth planning, lead nurturing, product launches and AI visibility.

This is a developmental role, with the opportunity to progress into a Marketing Executive/Coordinator position as both the individual and the marketing function grow.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Content & Communications

* Website news posts

* Website content updates

* Case study creation and coordination

* Weekly internal company update

* Internal communications support

* Content calendar management

2. Digital Marketing

* Social media scheduling and management

* Campaign amplification across LinkedIn and other channels

* Promotion of product launches, services and campaigns

* Email marketing and newsletter production

* Mailing list management and growth

3. Events & CPD Promotion

* Event and CPD marketing campaigns

* Registration management

* Attendee communications

* Event follow-up and reporting

* Support for the Events Hub process

4. CRM & Lead Management

* Pipedrive administration and housekeeping, including Glenigan planning data

* Management of marketing-generated enquiries

* Event lead administration and follow-up

* Database management and segmentation support

Reporting on marketing activity and lead generation

5. Sales Enablement & Marketing Materials

* Management of brochures and printed literature

* Product guides and sales collateral

* Case study library

* Presentation materials

* Promotional merchandise and branded materials

* Support materials for product launches and business development activity

6. Marketing Reporting

* Ad hoc support with campaign and NPS reporting, as workload requires

* General marketing administration support

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

Marketing Lead (line manager) - day-to-day direction and support

Sales & Business Development team - lead handover, sales enablement materials, event follow-up

Core Creative (web/digital agency) - website updates, campaign support

Event attendees, CPD delegates and customers - communications and follow-up

Wider team - internal communications and company updates

LEVEL

This role is being recruited at Assistant level - focused primarily on task execution (campaigns, content updates, event preparation), working under closer supervision and guidance while building experience. This aligns with the developmental framing of the role above, with the opportunity to grow into a Mid-Level/Executive position as the individual and the marketing function grow.

Person Specification

Qualifications

A-Level or equivalent, with a genuine interest in building a career in marketing

A relevant qualification (marketing, communications, business)

Experience

Ability to fit well with the team matters more than formal experience — candidates should be able to demonstrate genuine interest in marketing in some way (e.g. personal projects, self-directed learning, coursework, social media or content activity)

Experience with a CRM system (Pipedrive preferred); experience with WordPress; experience with email marketing platforms (Createsend or similar)

Skills & Knowledge

Strong written communication; comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines; comfortable with hands-on tasks such as merchandise and event preparation

Competent with Canva; familiarity with Google Analytics or basic design tools

Personal Attributes

Additional Requirements
