Job Description - Marketing Communications Officer

Marketing and Communications Officer
  • Location: Norwich city centre
  • Job Type: Part-time (22.5 hours per week)
  • Salary Range: £28,000 - £30,500 (full-time equivalent per annum)
  • Annual Leave: 27 days plus Bank holidays (full-time equivalent)

Join an award-winning and innovative organisation dedicated to supporting women and girls. We are seeking a dynamic Marketing and Communications Officer to join our established clients team to enhance their profile and support the charity’s strategic goals through effective marketing and communications strategies.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Develop and implement marketing and communications plans with clear, measurable objectives.
  • Maintain and schedule monthly content for social media to expand the charity’s reach while ensuring a safe online environment.
  • Engage with digital platforms like Google and LinkedIn, setting and monitoring clear KPIs.
  • Produce regular email newsletters and updates to promote the charity’s activities.
  • Collaborate with the CEO to support and develop events that further the charity's aims.
  • Innovate in the creation of events and campaigns to maximise grants and donations.
  • Lead on digital accessibility across all communication channels and stay updated with best practices through regular training.
  • Work closely with delivery teams to ensure the voices of women and girls are central in all communications.
  • Monitor external media to inform communications strategies and identify potential reputational risks.
  • Manage the stock levels of publicity materials and oversee the creation of social media graphics and other simple designs, adhering to brand guidelines.
  • Update the charity’s website as needed, ensuring compliance with accessibility and SEO best practices.
  • Manage freelance and volunteer photographers, maintaining an up-to-date photo bank and ensuring appropriate permissions for photography.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a marketing or communications role is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and platforms.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and innovate within the role.
  • Commitment to the values and goals of supporting women and girls affected by violence.
