Marketing Executive

A fantastic firm based in central Reading is looking for a Marketing and Events Assistant to join their Marketing team. This is a small team and gives you scope to develop the role and really make it your own. The client is looking for someone who is qualifed, both academically and with experience, with all round general Marketing experience, as well as Events exposure.The role is easily accessible by public transport from Reading, Maidenhead, Wokingham, Bracknell, Twyford & Henley on Thames.

Main purpose of the role:

To support the Marketing Manager and marketing and business development function across the full marketing mix, with a core focus on events.

Core duties and responsibilities:

* Organising and coordinating a busy programme of events, including seminars, networking events and hospitality led events.

* Maintaining and updating the company’s databases and email marketing lists and supporting email marketing communications.

* Taking a lead role in helping colleagues to manage and utilise data effectively, including supporting the implementation of a new CRM system.

* Developing a 'handson’ knowledge of the company’s key clients and contacts and assisting in helping to further develop these relationships, while also supporting the targeting of new clients and contacts.

* Coordinating the company’s annual client feedback survey and reporting on similar activities.

* Assisting in updating the company’s website, blog and social media channels.

* Helping to raise the profile of the firm and its services, including advertising and PR.

* Keeping the firm’s literature up to date and maintaining appropriate stock levels.

* Supporting internal communications, including producing newsletter and other communications and presenting when required.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills / experience:

* 1 years in a marketing and events role.

* Organising and coordinating a busy programme of events.

* Direct contact with clients/professional contacts and working with colleagues at all levels.

* Managing and utilising data and using large databases.

* Supporting the ongoing development and maintenance of a website.

* Supporting email marketing communications.

* Creating social media content and coordinating channels.

* Producing and updating printed literature.

* Supporting media relations.

* Market research/ analysis/reporting.

* Professional services or relevant background.

* B2B marketing and events.

* Working with a CRM system.

* PPC and GoogleAdwords/Analytics.

* Internal communications.

* Client feedback, listening and benchmarking.

Knowledge and skills

* Ability to organise and prioritise own workload, working independently when required.

* Excellent written and verbal communication.

* Copywriting, editing and proofreading.

* Strong attention to detail.

* Excellent IT skills, including MS Outlook and Office.
