Marketing Executive - Full Time - Guildford Spectrum

We are a not-for-profit leisure trust with we have a strong purpose and commitment to support our local communities and hard-to-reach groups encouraging them to become more active, contributing to improved lives. From Swimming lessons, to walking football and everything in-between we are driven to provide fun and welcoming sessions to support the whole community to be active, both within our leisure centres and in the local community.

This is an exciting opportunity for an inspiring individual to join Guildford Spectrum as our Marketing Executive! This role focuses on building vibrant communities and amplifying the positive impact of our Guildford facilities (Guildford Spectrum, Guildford Lido and Ash Manor Sports Centre) through strategic marketing and public relations initiatives. You'll work with the Guildford Contract Manager and closely with the General Managers and heads of department to develop and drive engagement across various marketing channels.

With the flexibility to work both on your own on a number of priorities at once and with our central marketing teams on group campaigns you will drive sales leads and increase participation in all leisure activities. Your experience of working on marketing and promotional plans across all digital and traditional marketing channels will showcase your excellent written communication skills, energy and passion.

Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Occasional weekend work may be required.

• Previous experience in a Marketing role.
• Experience of managing a varied workload.
• Experience of digital marketing techniques including social media.
• The skill to establish key relationships swiftly and appropriately.
• An ability to feed into and translate into action the centre’s strategy and objectives.
• An ability to analyse problems, situations and information, think laterally and present workable solutions.
• Team orientated approach, able to work across organization boundaries and demonstrate interest and be supportive of the work of colleagues.
• Highly organized with a good attention to detail.
• Flexible and adaptable.

Desirable

• A Business or Marketing qualification.
• Clerical and administrative experience.
• Experience of the Leisure Industry.
• Knowledge of the Leisure Industry.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills, able to negotiate and persuade people both internally and externally.
• Mobility to travel across sites.
