The Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for a creative Marketing Executive to join our dynamic marketing function, providing support to the Campaign and Brand Managers working on one of our largest brands.

You will be a self-starter who enjoys the pace of a dynamic work environment, providing support on one of our core brand and event offerings, whilst playing a key role in executing against marketing plans and brand objectives. You’ll have strong copywriting experience and be able to use this to produce benefit-led customer focused messaging for our year-round campaigns, understanding how to develop if for each channel.

The Defence & Security Portfolio has a series of market-leading events currently based in the UK, Europe and Asia. These range from confex style events to large scale exhibitions. All are market leaders within their ‘space’ and the next 12 months will see us continue to expand and innovate both in new geographies and on new platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creation of copy and content to support campaign requirements for the brands you work on, ensuring they are on brand, customer focused and benefit led. Using this content first approach to scale consistent messaging across all channels including email, social, web, paid etc.
  • Execution of all social media marketing channels including providing a plan around key milestones and maximising in-house content for added engagement and delivering growth in-line with benchmarks and KPIs.
  • Responsible for asset creation and delivery to support campaign activities with a mix of self-creation (Canva etc) and working with a designer. Ensuring all assets are on brand and lead to increased customer engagement.
  • Support the Brand Manager with customer research and insight activities that help us understand the customer, their needs and further evolve our products and offerings.
  • Responsible for the planning and delivery of media partners ensuring they are growing our reach and deliver on our commercial plans and targets.
  • Support the integration and scaling of our platforms and tools with specific focus on campaign automation (Pardot) ensuring you’re able to provide targeted, tailored and timely engagements.
  • Proactively report on campaign performance, working with Managers and Marketing Ops, to ensure we derive insights that lead to optimised campaigns and growth in customer engagement.
  • Work closely with the portfolio’s sales team creating campaigns that enable them to meet their commercial objectives and KPIs and ensure conversion rates for MQLs to SQLs are managed, maintained and optimised.

Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:

  • Experience running successful and segmented campaigns.
  • Excellent copywriting skills, able to produce customer focussed benefit led creative copy.
  • Experience of current marketing technologies to maximise marketing effectiveness.
  • Good understanding of email campaigns and how to segment for automation.
  • Understanding of content marketing and the role it plays in brand building and year-round engagement.
  • Experience of working in a matrix, with good stakeholder management.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • B2B events experience is a bonus but not essential.
  • Self-starter who enjoys a busy and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and ensure competing priorities are delivered on time and with quality.
