Marketing Finance Business Partner

We’re looking for a marketing-focused Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team and play a key role in Mindful Chef’s next chapter of growth.

This role would suit a recently or nearly qualified chartered accountant, although we’re open to candidates with a range of relevant experience and backgrounds. You’ll partner closely with our Marketing team, using your commercial and financial expertise to help shape decisions, challenge thinking and drive performance.

Cost Control, Budgeting & Forecasting

• Own cost control and accurate cost recognition across Marketing and Tech, analysing actuals against budget and identifying key drivers, risks and opportunities.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for your business areas, partnering closely with department heads to build robust plans and drive accountability.
• Monitor year-to-go (YTG) spend, highlighting risks and opportunities and helping teams make informed decisions throughout the year.
• Lead regular performance meetings with your stakeholders, establishing clear metrics and KPIs, turning financial insight into actions and helping improve operational performance.

Reporting

• Own weekly and monthly financial reporting across your business areas, understanding the story behind the numbers and the actions needed to improve performance.
• Work with stakeholders to agree and review month-end accruals, ensuring financial reporting is accurate and meaningful.
• Help improve the accessibility and autonomy of key reports, enabling teams to access real-time financial insight and make faster, better-informed decisions.

Decision Support & Commercial Insight

• Be the go-to finance partner for Marketing and Tech, providing financial and analytical support to help shape business decisions.
• Build and evaluate business cases, assessing the potential short- and long-term financial impact, risks and opportunities of new initiatives.
• Review the effectiveness and ROI of past investments and activities, carrying out deeper analysis where needed and recommending opportunities for improvement.
• Partner with Marketing and Tech to challenge performance, identify opportunities and move the needle on key KPIs.
• Work closely with the wider Finance team, particularly the CFO, to strengthen commercial insight, challenge and decision-making across the business.

• You’re a chartered accountant or nearing qualification, with a strong interest in the commercial side of finance.
• You’re confident with spreadsheets and data modelling, and enjoy turning numbers into meaningful insights.
• You’re comfortable working with databases and queries, or are keen to develop your skills in this area.
