Macildowie is proud to be working in exclusive partnership with Swim England, the national governing body for swimming in England, to appoint a talented and driven Marketing Manager. This is a pivotal role that will help shape and deliver Swim England's marketing and communications activity across a diverse range of audiences.

About the Role

As Marketing Manager, you'll play a leading role in developing and implementing impactful, insight-led campaigns that support Swim England's organisational strategy and member engagement objectives. Working across the full marketing mix, you'll be responsible for end-to-end campaign delivery, content strategy, and managing internal and external communications.

You'll also be a key voice for Swim England in managing sensitive communications, media relations, and championing the organisation's brand and values.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead multi-channel marketing and communications campaigns targeting a range of audiences
• Manage media and campaign agencies to deliver on commercial objectives
• Develop a compelling content strategy aligned with the organisational vision
• Oversee all internal and external communications, ensuring consistent messaging
• Analyse data and insight to drive engagement and improve campaign performance
• Work closely with colleagues across the Sport Directorate and Membership teams
• Lead, support, and develop a small team of staff and volunteers
• Deputise for the Head of Membership Marketing and Engagement where required
• Act as the key contact for NGB-related media enquiries
• Champion Swim England's brand across all platforms and materials

About You

You're a confident, creative and results-driven marketing professional, comfortable managing multiple campaigns and channels simultaneously. You'll bring a proactive, flexible approach, and enjoy working collaboratively across teams to deliver real impact.

You should have:

• Strong experience across the full marketing mix and campaign management
• Exceptional copywriting and project management skills
• A proven track record of agency and budget management
• Experience in data-led marketing and insight-based audience engagement
• Media handling experience, including managing sensitive communications
• A passion for leading and developing others

Desirable:

• Experience in the sport, leisure or not-for-profit sectors
• Knowledge of swimming or aquatic sports
• Experience increasing digital engagement and membership loyalty
