This role is responsible for the end-to-end marketing operations engine that underpins Cornwall Insight’s lead nurturing and demand generation activity. Working at the intersection of marketing, sales and technology, the Marketing Operations Manager owns the design, build and continuous improvement of automated nurture programmes, lead scoring models and the wider marketing technology stack – ensuring Salesforce, Salesforce Account Engagement (Pardot) and connected tools operate as a single, reliable source of truth. The role partners closely with the GTM sales team, Salesforce coordinator, agencies and the wider marketing team to ensure Sales Ready Leads are identified, routed and converted efficiently, and that marketing and sales remain closely aligned around a shared view of the customer journey.
Responsibilities
* Own and continuously improve automated nurture programmes across the prospect and customer lifecycle within Salesforce Account Engagement (Pardot).
* Design, build and refine lead scoring and grading models, working closely with Sales to ensure Sales Ready Leads are identified and handed over at the right point in the funnel.
* Manage integration and data flow between Pardot, Salesforce and other marketing/sales tools, ensuring accurate, timely synchronisation and good data hygiene.
* Partner with the GTM Sales team to align on lead definitions, hand-off processes and reporting on funnel performance.
* Work closely with the Salesforce Coordinator to maintain and evolve the CRM/marketing automation architecture, troubleshoot integration issues and implement new functionality.
* Collaborate with the wider Marketing team to embed marketing automation best practice into campaigns, content and events.
* Build and maintain reporting and dashboards on nurture programme performance, lead scoring effectiveness and MQL-to-SQL conversion.
* Ensure compliance with data protection and email marketing regulations (UK GDPR, PECR) across all automated communications.
* Identify and implement opportunities to introduce new automation, personalisation and segmentation capability to improve lead quality and conversion.
* Act as the internal subject matter expert on Salesforce Account Engagement (Pardot), providing training and support to the marketing team.

* Leadership: Leads the marketing operations agenda, influencing sales and marketing stakeholders to adopt best-practice processes.
* Problem Solving: Diagnoses and resolves data, integration and automation issues across Salesforce and Pardot, translating technical constraints into practical solutions.
* Service Delivery: Delivers reliable, well-documented marketing operations processes that the wider team and Sales can depend on.
* Commercial Awareness: Understands the B2B sales cycle and prioritises marketing operations work with the clearest impact on pipeline and revenue.
Knowledge / Skills / Experience
* Extensive hands-on experience administering Salesforce Account Engagement (Pardot or similar platforms), including automation rules, Engagement Studio, dynamic content, forms and landing pages. Strong working knowledge of Salesforce (Sales Cloud), including objects, reports, dashboards and the Salesforce-Pardot connector.
* Proven experience designing and running lead scoring and grading programmes that produce reliable Sales Ready Leads.
* Experience working in a B2B environment, ideally within data, information services, or publishing organisations.
* Track record of partnering closely with sales teams to align on lead definitions, hand-off processes and funnel reporting.
* Strong data analysis skills, comfortable interrogating and troubleshooting data flows between marketing and sales systems.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to work confidently with sales leaders, the Salesforce Manager and marketing colleagues.
* Knowledge of email marketing compliance requirements (UK GDPR, PECR) as they apply to B2B marketing automation.
* Strong project management skills, able to manage multiple automation and integration projects concurrently.
* Excellent written communication skills, able to translate technical marketing operations concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
