Job Description - Marketing Strategy and Planning Executive

OVERVIEW:


Our Marketing Planning team is at the heart of delivering a seamless, customer-first marketing calendar that truly connects. In this role, you’ll ensure every brand touchpoint is consistent, thoughtfully aligned, and designed with the customer’s perspective front and centre — not just focusing on individual channels. Collaborating closely with teams across Marketing, Creative, Product, Tech, Retail, and beyond, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping strategy, boosting performance, and driving key trading priorities through smart, integrated planning.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:




  • Planning




    • Support Senior Marketing Planning Manager in aligning marketing efforts with Brand, Commercial, Retail, and Events teams for campaigns, trading moments, promos, store openings, and events.




    • Lead consolidation of daily activation timelines and ensure channels are aligned on brand accretive promos.




    • Develop new ways to connect IRL customers to the digital ecosystem and integrate campaigns with the Gymshark loyalty programme.




    • Track competitor activity and trends, feeding insights into future planning.




    • Collaborate with channels to review campaign performance and apply learnings.




    Campaigns




    • Support alignment across channel teams for brand and product campaigns, ensuring content availability and audience targeting refinement with Lifecycle team.




    • Communicate marketing plans and strategy updates effectively.




    • Support stakeholder meetings by capturing actions and coordinating campaign wrap-up reports analysing objectives, KPIs, and results.




    • Identify and resolve roadblocks, collaborate with Creative to maintain campaign integrity, and drive data capture in stores to maximise customer insights and permissions.






 


WHAT YOU'LL NEED:




  • Proven experience in a similar role within a DTC business.




  • Genuine passion for a career in marketing.




  • Excellent collaboration skills, with a knack for uniting teams around solutions.




  • Highly organised with keen attention to detail.




  • Enthusiastic about fitness, wellness, and culture.




  • Strong verbal and written communication.




  • Effective interpersonal skills.




  • Confident in challenging ideas and open to being challenged




This is a hybrid role and would require the successful candidate to attend at least 3 days a week in GSIQ, Solihull, UK.
