Material Controller

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Material Controller, based in Portsmouth, Hampshire, to join a global leader specialising in high-reliability microelectronic components and services for the aerospace, defence and space industries.

The Material Controller, based in Portsmouth, will support the smooth and efficient operation of manufacturing processes by managing inventory levels, coordinating material availability and ensuring production requirements are met to maintain schedules and prevent delays.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Manage inventory levels, monitor stock, forecast material demand and coordinate replenishment orders as required.
Work closely with production teams to understand material requirements and ensure materials are available to meet manufacturing schedules.
Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to coordinate material availability and support production timelines.
Ensure materials meet required quality specifications, working closely with quality assurance teams.
Monitor and report on inventory levels, identifying discrepancies and opportunities for continuous improvement.
