Material Handler/Counterbalance Driver

AMJ Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Material Handler/Counterbalance Driver to work with our well established client based in Nuneaton.

Must have a Counterbalance License - starting ASAP.

The role will require you to undertake the following;

- Ensure correct materials are always delivered to the correct machines. Any actual or potential issues regarding incorrect material usage must be reported to the Shift Supervisor immediately.
- Prioritise and manage the use of dryers as required to support the production plan.
- At the start of each shift, ensure adequate availability of boxes and associated items for the next 8 hours, and deliver these to presses as required. Report any shortages to the Shift Supervisor.
- When a job is completed, return all boxes, bags, handles, and materials to their correct storage locations.
- Identify pallets with split bags and move them immediately to the material distribution room. These pallets must either be used next or have split bags removed before returning the pallet to outside storage.
- Maintain housekeeping in all areas, including material storage (inside and outside), material distribution room, and around presses.
- Ensure all material spills are cleaned up immediately upon identification to meet H&S and environmental requirements.
- Unload material deliveries in accordance with H&S guidelines, ensuring materials are stored in the correct locations and all paperwork is checked and signed.
- Where safe to do so, pallets with split bags remaining on delivery vehicles must be secured and brought immediately inside the building (not stored outside).
- Complete a thorough handover between shifts, clearly identifying any issues and leaving work areas in an acceptable condition for the incoming shift.

Weekly Rotating Shifts: - MUST be able to work all 3 shifts

AM Shift - 6am until 2pm
PM Shift - 2pm until 10pm
Night Shift - 10pm until 6am

General Operative Rate - £13.32 per hour, weekly pay.
