Material Planner

As our new Raw Materials Inventory Planner, you’ll play a key role in ensuring we have the right raw materials available at the right time to support our production plans. Coordinating supply across external warehouses, tolling partners and intercompany locations, you’ll help maintain accurate inventory, proactively manage supply risks and ensure continuity of supply.

Working closely with Production, Planning, Procurement, suppliers and logistics partners, you’ll coordinate the end-to-end flow of raw materials and respond proactively to changing requirements. You’ll also provide flexible support to production scheduling during peak and holiday periods, with the opportunity to develop your skills and take on broader planning responsibilities over time. Key responsibilities:

• Manage external warehouse capacity, stock movements and call-offs to support production demand.
• Plan and maintain raw material orders, working closely with Procurement to manage supply and delivery requirements.
• Coordinate intercompany and toller material orders, ensuring quantities and delivery dates meet production needs.
• Monitor inventory levels, shortages and supply risks, identifying and escalating issues before they impact production.
• Lead inventory reporting, SLOB reduction and COMAH-related stock management to maintain accurate and compliant inventory.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in material planning, inventory management or materials coordination.

• Experience using MRP/ERP systems.

• Strong attention to detail with a focus on data and inventory accuracy.

• Ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively to changing production requirements.

• Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Desirable:

• Knowledge or experience of COMAH or other regulated inventory environments.
