Join a High-End Construction Team as a Materials Buyer!

Are you a dedicated Materials Buyer with 1-2 years of buying experience? Are you looking to further develop your skills with a reputable company known for its high standards and excellence? This exciting role offers fantastic training, support, and the opportunity to work with an upmarket clientele.

This role is based in the office with on-site parking available, working hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. You will also have the chance to visit construction sites alongside the surveying team, gaining valuable insights and practical experience.

Duties:

- Ensure plant and materials are purchased/hired and delivered to site on time.
- Conduct constant price checking and ensure correct purchasing volumes.
- Provide quotes and accurate costing information.
- Manage all buying paperwork and administration efficiently.
- Maintain an up-to-date plant hire list.
- Make utility applications as required.
- Assist with annual stock takes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and manufacturers.
- Ensure all purchasing aligns with preset budgets.

Person Needed:

- Buying experience (ideally from the construction sector).
- Highly numerate with strong analytical skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Eager to learn, develop, and ask questions.
- Contractor experience is desirable.
- Strong customer focus and dedication to high standards.
