Job Description - Materials Handler

Are you experienced in warehouse or stores work and looking to join a dynamic and forward-thinking production environment? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Material Handler to support operations in a specialist manufacturing setting, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklift trucks and overhead cranes
Ensure timely delivery of materials to production areas to maintain continuous workflow
Move materials and finished goods between departments and onto transport vehicles
Maintain accurate stock records using a computerised ERP system
Work in line with all health and safety procedures and best practices
Carry out additional tasks as required to support manufacturing processes

Requirements of the role

Essential

Previous experience in a warehouse or stores environment
Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality
Good teamwork and communication skills
Basic computer literacy

Desirable

Valid forklift truck (FLT) licence
Awareness of Lean Manufacturing principles
