Lead Supply Chain Excellence in a High-Impact Role

Are you ready to take the lead in a pivotal supply chain role within a dynamic manufacturing environment? Our client are are looking for a results-driven Materials Manager to oversee and optimise the flow of materials into their Norwich-based facility. This is a high-visibility leadership position with direct influence on operational performance, production continuity, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Planner Buyers to ensure consistent material availability and supplier performance.
  • Manage material planning processes, aligning supply with production demand and master scheduling.
  • Collaborate with Production, Scheduling, and Procurement teams to ensure supply continuity.
  • Optimise inventory levels by improving turns, reducing excess and obsolete stock, and aligning inventory with forecasts.
  • Monitor and report on key supply chain metrics including supplier on-time delivery, inventory value, and forecast accuracy.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory reduction and supplier performance.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and proactively resolve material shortages.
  • Contribute to regional operations strategy as part of the EMEA leadership team.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in supply chain, materials management, or planning within a manufacturing environment (electronics preferred).
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated success in improving inventory performance and supplier delivery.
  • Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems and supply planning tools.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical, data-driven approach to decision-making.
