Materials Operations Manager – North Devon

We are recruiting for a Materials Operations Manager in North Devon with a global aerospace manufacturing organisation. This is a key leadership job responsible for managing materials, logistics, inventory, and production scheduling within a fast-paced site.

In this Materials Operations Manager job, you will ensure adherence to the Master Production Schedule (MPS), optimise material flow, and drive operational performance.

Key Responsibilities for the Material Operations Manager job:

* Manage production scheduling aligned with S&OE and MPS.

* Oversee inventory control, material flow, and site logistics.

* Ensure accurate MRP/ERP data and efficient inventory transactions.

* Monitor delivery performance and escalate supply issues.

* Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean principles.

* Coach and develop the materials and logistics team.

Requirements for the Materials Operations Manager job:

* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

* 5+ years’ experience in materials, operations, or supply chain within manufacturing.

* 3+ years’ experience leading teams.

* Strong understanding of SIOP/S&OP, inventory management, and production scheduling.

* Experience with forecasting, BOM structures, and MRP/ERP systems (Kinaxis, Maestro, or MFG-Pro advantageous).

* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
