• Overseeing the flow of materials within the organisation.
• Ensuring smooth operation of procurement and supply chain activities.
• Implementing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Coordinating with various departments to manage inventory levels.
• Forecasting supply and demand to prevent overstock and out-of-stock situations.
• Evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and maintaining relationships.
• Monitoring and reporting on supply chain performance to senior management.

Profile

A successful Materials Planner should have:

• Proven experience in materials planning and procurement within an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder skills.
• Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers.
• The ability to forecast supply and demand and prevent overstock and out-of-stock situations.
• Exceptional analytic and problem-solving skills.
• Good reporting skills and ability analyse data
