Responsibilities - Materials Planner

Create and maintain detailed production schedules to maximise resources and meet production specifications and delivery deadlines.
Release manufacturing work orders and execute daily plant-level MRP activities to support production requirements.
Monitor schedule adherence, investigate deviations, and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
Maintain inventory planning parameters within ERP systems and collaborate with procurement teams to enhance supplier performance.
Coordinate inbound material planning, supplier call-offs, purchase requisitions, and purchase orders to support operational demands.
Analyse excess, obsolete, and ageing inventory, driving actions to improve stock management and inventory performance.
Produce planning and fulfilment analysis, reporting key performance metrics to stakeholders and management.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across planning, inventory, and supply chain processes.
Qualifications / Experience - Materials Planner

Strong knowledge of manufacturing planning, production scheduling, inventory control, MRP, capacity planning, shop floor control, and warehousing.
Previous experience using ERP and MRP systems within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
Excellent analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
Experience identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing successful solutions.
Good IT skills, including strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Previous experience in a materials planning, production planning, supply chain, or scheduling role is highly desirable.
