Educo Recruitment is working in partnership with a welcoming specialist primary school in Hertfordshire to recruit a committed teacher for a maternity cover position.

This is an excellent opportunity to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them develop academically, socially and emotionally in a nurturing environment.

The Role

You will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils' individual needs and abilities. Working alongside Teaching Assistants and specialist staff, you will create a positive learning environment and support each child's development.

Key responsibilities include:

Planning and delivering personalised lessons.

*

Supporting pupils with a range of SEND, including autism and complex needs.

*

Monitoring progress against individual learning objectives and EHCP targets.

*

Promoting positive behaviour, communication and independence.

*

Creating a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.

*

Working closely with Teaching Assistants, parents and other professionals.

About You

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

*

Primary teaching experience.

*

A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.

*

Confident adapting lessons to different abilities and learning styles.

*

Patient, nurturing and resilient.

*

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Previous experience in a specialist SEND setting is highly desirable, although candidates looking to develop their SEND experience are encouraged to apply.
