A prestigious independent sixth form college in Kensington is seeking an exceptional Maths Teacher to join its successful academic department from September 2026.

Maths Teacher (A-Level) – Full-Time (Part-Time Considered)

Independent Sixth Form College
Location: Kensington
Start Date: September 2026

The successful candidate will teach A-Level Mathematics, delivering engaging and intellectually challenging lessons that prepare students for university and beyond. You will be responsible for planning lessons, monitoring student progress, providing academic guidance, and contributing to the continued success of the Mathematics department.

The college is looking for a teacher with excellent subject knowledge, high expectations, and the ability to inspire confident, independent learners.

Key Responsibilities

Teach A-Level Mathematics to a high academic standard
Plan and deliver engaging, challenging lessons
Assess, monitor, and track student progress
Provide effective feedback and intervention where required
Prepare students for A-Level examinations and university study
Foster a positive and stimulating learning environment
Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development
Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Mathematics Teacher you will:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate teaching qualification
Proven experience teaching A-Level Mathematics
Excellent subject knowledge and passion for Mathematics
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Ability to motivate and challenge high-achieving students
Commitment to maintaining exceptional academic standards
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
