Rate: £195 – £280 per day
Hours: Full time
Start Date: Immediately

 

We’re looking for a dedicated and confident Maths Teacher to join a high-achieving secondary school in Thurrock. This permanent role is available for both full-time and part-time applicants and begins immediately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver well-planned, engaging maths lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Support students in building confidence, fluency, and problem-solving skills.
  • Monitor progress, provide feedback, and contribute to pupil development.
  • Use a range of strategies to challenge and support learners of all abilities.
  • Work closely with colleagues to contribute to curriculum planning and departmental goals.
  • Foster a calm, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Participate in wider school activities and professional development opportunities.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification (essential).
  • Experience teaching Maths in a secondary setting (preferred).
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for mathematics.
  • A commitment to student progress, inclusion, and safeguarding.
  • Flexible and open to either full-time or part-time teaching.
  • Willingness to contribute to whole-school life and continuous improvement.
