Job Description - Maths Teacher

Maths Teacher
  • Annual Salary: £38,989 - £51,062
  • Location: Feltham
  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to deliver accredited learning to young people undertaking Maths study programmes, including Functional Skills, GCSE, and A Level, within the offender learning sector. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of young people, guiding them through their educational journey.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver high-quality teaching in Maths to students within the offender learning sector.
  • Prepare lesson plans and educational materials that meet curriculum standards.
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress in Maths study programmes.
  • Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.
  • Prepare students for qualifications in Functional Skills, GCSE, and A Level Maths.
  • Engage and motivate students, fostering a positive learning environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Possession of a relevant teaching or training qualification (e.g., QTS, QTLS, DTTLS, PGCE).
  • Proven experience in teaching Maths at various levels, including Functional Skills, GCSE, and A Level.
  • Strong understanding of the mathematical concepts and the ability to convey them effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire young learners from diverse backgrounds.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
