Maths Teacher – Secondary School | Wakefield

Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Salary: £165–£230 per day, dependent on experience
Contract: Full-time | Fixed-term
Start Date: January 2027

PK Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher for a secondary school in the Wakefield area, commencing January 2027.

This is a full-time, fixed-term opportunity, ideal for a qualified teacher who is confident delivering engaging Mathematics lessons and supporting pupils across the secondary age range.

The Role:

Deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons in line with the national curriculum.
Take responsibility for planning, preparation, teaching and assessment.
Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet varying abilities.
Maintain positive classroom behaviour and a productive learning environment.
Work collaboratively with the wider Mathematics department.
The Ideal Candidate:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate recognised teaching qualification.
Has experience teaching Mathematics within a UK secondary school.
Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and classroom management.
Is committed to raising attainment and supporting pupil progress.
Is available for a full-time position from January 2027.
