About the Role

The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and intellectually stimulating lessons that inspire students to achieve their full potential.

Students follow a challenging curriculum covering algebra, geometry, statistics, mechanics, and pure mathematics, with many progressing to study Further Mathematics and Mathematics-related degrees at leading universities. You will prepare students for GCSE, A-Level, and Further Mathematics examinations while developing their confidence in mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, and independent thinking.

You will also contribute to the wider life of the department through enrichment opportunities such as the UK Mathematics Challenge, mentoring for Olympiad competitions, university preparation, and STEM outreach activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics across KS3, KS4, and KS5

• Deliver engaging, challenging, and well-structured lessons

• Prepare students for GCSE, A-Level, and Further Mathematics examinations

Candidate Requirements

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level

• Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently

• Excellent subject knowledge in Mathematics

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

Desirable

• Experience teaching A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics

• Experience preparing students for mathematics competitions or university entrance

• Ability to contribute to STEM enrichment programmes

• A proven track record of delivering outstanding student outcomes
