Position Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive and engaging Mathematics curriculum to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching at Key Stage 5 depending on experience and qualifications. The role entails fostering a dynamic and supportive learning environment that encourages students to develop their mathematical skills, problem-solving abilities, and critical thinking.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver stimulating Maths lessons that align with the national curriculum and the school's educational ethos.


• Create a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement and participation.


• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to facilitate individual growth.


• Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Maths department and across the school to enrich the learning experience.


• Stay abreast of current pedagogical approaches and developments in Mathematics education.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics or a related field.


• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.


• Demonstrated experience teaching Mathematics at the secondary level.
