We are looking for a Senior Meat Category Buyer, to join this well established, and growing, fine food importer and distributor at their UK / European Head Office in Park Royal, London.

The Senior Meat Buyer will lead a small team and take full ownership of the meat category - managing supplier relationships, ensuring best-in-class sourcing, stock control and commercial performance.

The Role:

• Leading and continually developing the meat product category.
• Managing and mentoring a small team of buyers.
• Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships across the global market.
• Coordinating inbound logistics with third-party providers.
• Monitoring stock levels to meet availability and target.
• Striving for continuous improvement.

About You:

• A proven track record in a similar purchasing role (prior experience of procuring meat / protein is essential).
• Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a small team.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• A genuine interest in premium food products and high standards of service.

The successful candidate will be rewarded with a very competitive package that includes an excellent basic salary in the region of £50-55,000.
