Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Vehicle Mechanic / Gearbox Technician to join our busy and supportive workshop team. Key Responsibilities

Removing automatic gearboxes from vehicles
Refitting and reinstalling automatic gearboxes
Carrying out gearbox-related mechanical repairs
Conducting vehicle drive tests following repairs
Using hand tools safely and effectively
Manual handling of vehicle components
Ensuring all work is completed to high-quality standards

What We're Looking For

Essential:

Minimum 3 years mechanical experience, ideally with gearbox repairs and replacements
Experience removing and reinstalling gearboxes
Good all-round vehicle mechanical knowledge
Own tools
Full UK Driving Licence
Ability to road test vehicles after repairs
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Positive attitude and ability to work well within a team

Preferred:

Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification (or equivalent)
Previous experience working extensively with automatic gearboxes
