TeamJobs are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Assembly Technician to join a specialist engineering and manufacturing company based in Ringwood.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong hands-on mechanical assembly and fitting experience who is confident working from engineering drawings and wants to join a skilled manufacturing environment

Mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly of specialist equipment
Working from engineering drawings, build instructions and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
Fitting components including frames, pipework, pumps, valves, instrumentation and machined parts
Carrying out drilling, tapping, cutting and general bench assembly
Installing and aligning mechanical components
Using hand tools, power tools and measuring equipment
Carrying out basic functional testing
Identifying build issues, drawing discrepancies and quality concerns
Completing quality and production documentation What We're Looking For:

Previous mechanical assembly experience within manufacturing or engineering
Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Strong mechanical fitting and practical engineering skills
Experience using hand tools, power tools and measuring equipment
Excellent attention to detail
Good understanding of Health & Safety within a workshop environment Experience with electro-mechanical assembly, hydraulics, pneumatics, process pipework or mechanical fault finding would be an advantage. An apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or similar mechanical engineering qualification would also be beneficial.
