Role: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: High Wycombe
Working hours: Full-time | Permanent | Monday to Friday
Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Parkside Recruitment are looking for a hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer to help design and build our advanced vacuum coating systems used in science and research labs around the world.

This is a great opportunity to join a small, growing engineering company working at the cutting edge of thin film and vacuum technology.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and build high-vacuum plasma coating machines
Create CAD models, drawings, and parts lists
Work closely with R&D on new product development
Support testing, improvements, and product delivery
Collaborate with suppliers and help with hands-on assembly when needed

What We’re Looking For:

Experience with mechanical design and CAD (SolidWorks or similar)
Knowledge of vacuum systems or scientific equipment (preferred)
Practical, problem-solving mindset
Good communication and teamwork skills
Interest in technology and engineering innovation
