Mechanical Design Engineer

Attention all Mechanical Design Engineers!

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a well-established engineering consultancy, in a permanent position. You will be required to work on a hybrid basis, from our client’s office in Manchester.

This is a great opportunity to work on a variety of healthcare projects, with a motivating team.

-Competitive salary ranging from £40,000 to £60,000 (depending on experience).

-Hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

-Developing detailed mechanical design drawings.

-Supporting concept generation and mechanical feasibility studies.

-Conducting design calculations and simulations where required.

-Collaborating with clients and internal teams to define project requirements.

-Managing design documentation and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

-Engaging in design reviews and problem-solving discussions with a cross-functional team.

What we are looking for:

Essential:

-A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

-Extensive experience in mechanical design engineering.

-Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.

-Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

-A proactive, can-do attitude and a genuine passion for design innovation.

Desirable:

-Chartered or working towards Chartership (IET or similar) preferred.
