Mechanical Design Engineer

Mechanical Design Engineer required. Our client is a specialist manufacturer, supplying a range of industries with turnkey bespoke solutions based in the Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire area. The successful candidate will be joining an established design office using Solidworks.

• Producing technical assembly designs & manufacturing drawings with the use of Solidworks 3D modelling software
• Liaising with customers on design parameters
• Assist in the research and development strategy for the company and partake in hands on product development as may be requested.
• Ensuring designs are within the required legal framework
• Producing designs and renders for sales purposes
• Liaise with Purchasing to ensure the technical specifications are fully compliant and agreed for each contract.
• Reporting to the head of design

• HND qualified or similar within a Mechanical, Electrical, Design or Civil Engineering related subject
• Proficient with Solidworks, or similar 3D modelling software
• Full UK Driving License
• Based in a commutable distance of Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire
• Strong communication & relationship management skills
• 2+ years of experience within a Design Engineering role

• £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
• Monday to Friday, full-time, permanent position
• Holiday allowance and pension
