This combination of technical capability, product ownership, and close collaboration with our European teams creates a unique opportunity for individuals who want to contribute to meaningful engineering and operational advancements while being part of a forward\u2011thinking, globally connected organisation. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nSenior Design Engineer \u2013 Switch Disconnector Product Range\n\nThis is a key technical leadership role within our switching portfolio, driving innovation, product excellence, and continuous improvement across a strategically important product range. You\u2019ll take ownership of new product development, lifecycle management, and value\u2011engineering initiatives, working at the intersection of design, manufacturing, and global engineering functions.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Lead end\u2011to\u2011end design projects for new switching products and enhancements to the existing portfolio, including 3D modelling, detailed engineering drawings, and complex product assemblies.\n\n * Provide technical direction to engineers and cross\u2011functional teams both locally and internationally, collaborating closely with Simulation, Data Management, Technical Support, Product Management, and other specialist groups.\n\n * Partner with the manufacturing plant to ensure designs are production\u2011ready, support industrialisation activities, and resolve technical challenges throughout the product lifecycle.\n\n * Own all supporting engineering documentation, including FMEAs, technical files, and Engineering Change Notices, ensuring compliance and robust design governance.\n\n * Develop and execute test plans aligned to relevant standards, working with internal and external laboratories to validate performance and reliability.\n\n * Drive innovation and intellectual property creation, contributing to the long\u2011term competitiveness and differentiation of the product range.\n\n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\n * Engineering Degree (electrical/mechanical/mechatronic)\n * 4+ years in design/development of industrial products \n \n\n\n\n\n## Skills:\n\n * 3D CAD (solidworks preferred), project management.
