What Are We Looking For?

Owing to continued sustainable growth, our in-house Design team is looking for Mechanical Design Engineers to join the established team in Aberdeen, working within our Asset Management and Technical Services business. You will take on a fully supported leading role in all aspects of projects, from scoping and detailed design through to implementation, ensuring compliance with client specifications and current regulatory standards, with a strong focus on low-carbon solutions.

As part of industry-leading multi-disciplined project teams, some of your key duties will include:

Oversee design aspects of projects from inception to implantation.
Ensure compliance with Client specification and current regulatory standards.
Develop design deliverables.
Complete checking and approval processes.
Arrange procurement of goods and services.
Prepare work scope estimates/quotations.
Assemble contract works information documents.
Consider project health and safety, quality and environmental matters.
Liaise with all key stakeholders for the projects.
Implement project change control and programme requirements.
Take responsibility as Design Lead on allocated projects.

What do you need?

Degree/HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Knowledge of British and European design standards
Minimum of 5 years proven track record as a Mechanical Engineer in both a design office and in a construction environment within the Water (or related Process) Industry
