Mechanical Design Engineer - Devon - £30k-£35k

We are proud to partner with a leading UK-based manufacturer renowned for designing and producing premium public seating solutions. Their products can be found in airports, transport hubs, and public spaces across the UK and internationally.

Based in the Southwest UK, you’ll join a talented and dynamic team as a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer. Reporting directly to the Head of Design, your role will involve supporting the development of both existing and new seating products.

• Assist in the design and development of new and existing seating products using SOLIDWORKS.

• Create detailed 2D drawings for manufacturing teams.

• Produce 3D models and visualisations for new product designs to guide production.

• Support ongoing improvements to existing product designs and specifications.

• Collaborate closely with the sales team, delivering design presentations for both new and existing products when needed.

We welcome applications from both recent graduates and experienced Design Engineers.

Graduates:

• Degree in Design Engineering, Product Design, or Mechanical Engineering.

• Worked on furniture projects

• UK Driver's License.

Experienced Design Engineers:

• 1-2 years' experience in New Product Development within furniture industry.

• Degree in Design Engineering, Product Design, or Mechanical Engineering.

• Strong CAD and 3D modelling abilities.

• Knowledge of manufacturing and construction techniques, including steel fabrication, plastic injection moulding, casting, and finishing processes.

• UK Driver's License.
