I’m recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join an R&D team developing cutting-edge hybrid and electric propulsion systems for commercial and defence vehicles.

This is a hands-on, design-focused role where you’ll work across full lifecycle product development in a fast-paced, agile engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical components for electrification projects

• Create drawings, run design reviews, and conduct FEA

• Support testing and validation of new systems

• Liaise with suppliers to ensure manufacturability and feasibility

• Drive improvements in design processes and team capabilities

Skills & Experience Required:

• BEng/MEng in Mechanical Engineering

• 2+ years’ experience in a relevant sector (automotive, aerospace, etc.)

• Proficient in 3D CAD (preferably Siemens NX)

• Strong knowledge of GD&T, BS8888, and DfM principles

• Familiar with rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing

• Bonus: FEA experience and HV system knowledge
