Mechanical Engineer

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our clients team based in Grantham. This is a hands-on role with a strong mechanical focus, perfect for a motivated engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.

Description

• Overseeing routine maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Identifying faults and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions.
• Carrying out detailed machinery inspections.
• Following safety regulations and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Assisting with the installation of new machinery and equipment.
• Collaborating with the engineering team to optimise machinery performance.
• Recording and reporting any machinery malfunctions to management.
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest mechanical best practices and concepts.

4 on 4 off - including weekend working, 6-6. 40.25 hours per week

Profile

A successful Mechanical Fitter should have:

• An educational background in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• A strong understanding of mechanical systems and industrial equipment.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical diagrams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
